The mission of the Oregon Department of Energy (ODOE) is to ensure Oregon has an adequate supply of reliable and affordable energy and is safe from nuclear contamination, by helping Oregonians save energy, develop clean energy resources, promote renewable energy and clean up nuclear waste. This report is of an energy plan for Oregon.

This 2005-2007 Plan begins by explaining the Oregon Department of Energy’s role in the state’s economic recovery. It then presents background information on the sources and uses of Oregon’s energy; important energy issues for Oregon; ODOE’s action plan for 2005-2007; and the state’s accomplishments in conservation, new energy resources and nuclear safety.
