CEEAbstract
The CEE Specification for Integral Replacement Lamps Sold at Retail is a key element of the CEE Residential Lighting Initiative, which is designed to address market barriers with a cohesive, binational strategy to transform the market to energy efficient lighting.
The specification was approved by the CEE Board of Directors on November 3, 2016 and became effective on January 2, 2017. The CEE specification serves to differentiate among the highest performing ENERGY STAR lamps. Specifically, it sets forth performance tiers that go above ENERGY STAR and identifies the levels at which programs are seeking to claim savings and provide a positive consumer experience while also encouraging manufacturer investment.
